Project: Karori Park Playground

Client: Wellington City Council

​

Wellington City Council and CREO Space engaged Playsafe to support the playground design process by providing a design review to ensure compliance in accordance with the NZS5828:2015.

The project involved reviewing the concept plan, reviewing revisions and providing a post-installation inspection and ultimately a certificate of compliance after the project.

Project: Scooter Track

Client: Yaldhurst Model School

Adam worked with Chris Owen from Xteriorscapes to create a unique scooter track and landscape.

Playsafe provided a review of the design concepts and constructional plans, provided standards support throughout the construction phase and finally post-installation inspection. This project involved challenges with materials, finishes, surfacing and landscaping and employed both considerations from the NZS5828 standard and independent risk assessment. The finished project is a unique and stunning result for the School and the wider Yaldhurst community.

Project: Westfield Newmarket

Client: Scentre Group + Hello Space Interiors

Playsafe was engaged by the Hello Space Studio for a design review and constructional support compliance process.

The result is a stunning indoor play area, made from the finest unique materials including leather, wet pour rubber, stainless steel and bespoke activity panel games.

Project: Tongariro Domain Playspace

Client: Taupo District Council + Bespoke Architects

​

Right in the heart of the town centre is Taupō's newest family destination – Tongariro Domain Playground! The beautiful new colours and artwork were composed by local Tūwharetoa artist, Kingi, Pitiroi in collaboration with Hawira Karaitiana from the Taupō Museum to reflect Taupō's story of the mountains and waterways. Playsafe worked alongside Bespoke Landscape Architects to ensure a compliant Playspace was delivered to Taupo District Council. Our focus was to check and verify equipment and surfacing evidence of conformity with relevant standards then check NZS5828 / EN1176 requirements via post-installation inspection once installed and issue compliance certification.

Client: Henderson Primary

Natural Steps engaged Playsafe to provide a comprehensive safety and compliance audit and report for their Early Childhood Centre.

Client: McDonald's Restaurants – Multiple Sites

Playsafe is regularly engaged to undertake comprehensive safety and compliance audits and reporting for their Playlands across many McDonald’s sites.

Project: Early Childhood Play Spaces

Client: Giraffe ELC + Wiles Read Architects + Natural Habitats (Huapai and Three Kings Centres)

Playsafe was engaged by Wiles Read + Natural Habitats to conduct a design review and post-install audit compliance process in accordance with the NZS5828:2015.

This involved reviewing the outdoor play area concept plans for both Huapai And Three Kings Early childhood centres, reviewing revisions and providing a post-installation inspection and ultimately a certificates of compliance after each project.

Client: New Shoots Children's Centres

The talented team at New Shoots have created stunning outdoor areas combining nature-inspired play spaces considering safety and compliance with the NZS5828 and Playsafe has provided design review and post-install compliance reporting at 15 of their locations throughout Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Northland and Waikato.
